I've worked in a jewelry store since I was 14. That was when I decided to go to Paris,Texas. I've mainly worked in Texas in the wholesale business. My favorite things are carving waxes, stone setting and design. I used to do ALOT of stone setting and bench work; then I was in a life/work altering car accident. All I could think of was how am I going to get back to doing what I love. After 5 years of frustration and working to get back where I was; a man ran a stop sign and I was in another accident which broke my left hand. And yes, I'm let handed. Needless to say, I've been devastated. But now that I've seen Orchid, I'm thinking about CAD/CAM. I'm interested in where to start. Being a bench jeweler most of my life, computers weren't that important to me. Just got one 2 years ago. Any input, suggestions or conversations with people doing what I love to do would be greatly appreciated.
