By day I am a full-time Mommie who works at a great non-profit in Hartford, CT and on the weekends I am an enamelist, metalsmith, and beader. Before signing up to this service I took a look around at the artists studios on this site and felt at home. If my studio is clean, it's because I'm avoiding work or because I have lost the same tool for the 10th time without having left my seat. I love enameling, especially the cloisonn technique. As a full-time student at the Worcester Center for Arts and Crafts (93-94) I had to take an elective and that's how I became an enamelist. Recently I have begun to combine fold forming with enameling and have found it to be so freeing compared to doing cloisonn work. I have also been learning glass casting in my friend's studio. Now that my artistic daughter is old enough to be in the studio with me, I have more time to devote to starting my business.
