I'm an old lady who loves rocks. Well, not really old, but now that my son has graduated from university I do feel that way. I love funky rocks. Fine gemstones are fun, but the character and variety of conglomerates or porphry thrill me. Cutting open an unkown rock and finding a small universe of crystals inside send me over the edge! I dream about the damn things - rocks, jewelry, silver but never gold or platinum - even in dreams they're too expensive! River rocks are my thing and I like to make pretty jewelry with them. Mostly I do wire wrapping of rocks I've cut, shaped and polished but I'm trying to learn more elegant metalsmithing techniques.
