My jewelry incorporates ancient beads, carvings, and sacred and beautiful objects which are hundreds to thousands of years old. In my studio, I connect with the flow of time, with the way that objects, techniques, and aesthetics are passed down through the centuries.

Many of my techniques, especially granulation, are also ancient, and these skills are fascinating to me as expressions of the talents of craftspeople working so long ago.

I also embrace modern developments in metalwork, such as my primary medium, the new alloy Argentium silver. This metal inspires me with its brightness and colour, and its ability to be worked into intricate pieces alone, or in combination with gold.

Combining the gifts from past cultures and my own work in my modern studio, I create jewelry which is both beautiful and meaningful, made to be worn and appreciated for years to come.
