I am a 64-year-old youngster who never gets tired of learning. I have had a series of careers. The last was that of school principal. I retired (early) in 1993. Some of my other endeavors include auto mechanic, radio announcer, television director, school teacher, volunteer firefighter (asst chief), NCO club manager while in the Air Force, time and cost analyst, carpenter, electrician, broadcast engineer, bench jeweler, watchmaker, and Christian bookstore owner. I am currently occupied in these last three (bench jeweler, watchmaker, and Christian store owner). I have four college degrees, including an earned PhD in administration, psychology, and cultural anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin. I have been happily married to Priscilla for the past 34 years. We have two sons, one a 24-year-old youth minister; the other an 18-year-old budding bench jeweler. I have been following the Orchid Digest postings for several months and I think Orchidians are some of the nicest, most helpful people anywhere. I consider it a real privilege to be in some small way associated with you.
