For a few years, I have had an amateur interest in making puzzle rings by hand weaving and hard soldering sterling wire. Although slow and laborous, I have succeeded in making a few good specimens. I'm always interested in better ways to flame and furnace harden and quench, dead-soft sterling wire matrixed rings. I have personally met w/ Jose, master puzzle-ring silversmith and know much of the basics, but would still like to see published metalurgical data on hardening annealed sterling, w/o employing further work hardening.
