I am presently a bench jeweler/designer in a jewelery store in a small college town in the mid west. we are primarily retailers of fine jewelry but I also like to fabricate for the bridge market. I used to enamel almost exclusively, but now work w/gold and silver.I would like to get back into enameling again. On the job I do repairs and custom design. For pleasure, I create a line of my own jewelry and teach.I also like to do metal work that isn't necessarily jewelry but utilizes the the same techniques and create small art pieces which sometimes coincides with my workshops. I summer in Maine, when business is slower (my boss is fabulous and welcomes me back each fall).I recharge my energy and work on new designs and techniques in my home studio there. I've taken a couple of workshops in Portland at Kate Wolf's studio. They helped me develope as a jeweler and they were great fun to boot. In Maine,I get to play. It's a great life!; -
