Hi, all. My name is Marggi and I have been at the bench for longer than I care to admit. (The Go-Gos were on the radio, to give you a reference) Anyway, the store where I am employed at the moment is near Disneyland, and we occasionally get Tinkerbell or other Character jewelry purchased at the magic kingdom in. We currently have a green lucite bracelet based on the parrots from the Tiki Room that the client wishes to enlarge. We have considered grinding it out from the inside, the customer's idea is to cut it in two and make a spring hinge and hook clasp. It is a $35.00 piece, it all seems way too much work and risk. Has anyone here had experience with something similar? Our concern is if we grind it out, is the color all the way through or is the green applied to the finished piece, and if we try to cut it is it going to shatter? Thanks, everyone. Marggi
