Hi, I'm forty years old,married with two kids.I have twenty three years experience on the bench for a small independent retail jewellers in the North West of England. I mostly do straight forward repair work and also the occasional commission piece. I have no formal qualifications and after realising i've wasted a lot of time (i think it's something to do with my age) i am trying to learn all i can about the trade. I am currently trying to figure out which courses i should take to further my career.I have only very basic setting ability,no laser experience,very little time working with platinum and my knowledge of gemstones isn't what it should be (i must work out how to word that differently for my next cv.) Any advice on training,career development etc would be much appreciated. Thanks, Steven
