I refer to myself as an apprentice retiree.Most of my time is spent tending a large garden , hunting and fishing, making flintlock rifles and..........art jewelry. I'm a metalsmith/ hand engraver basically self taught and learning stone setting by way of books etc.The engraving interest came from the 18th century rifles. I started the jewelry path because it is a canvas for engraving & easier to sell than expensive hand stocked rifles.
