I have been making jewelry for nearly 20 years, mostly as a hobby. Previously, I did a lot of beading, then moved into wire wrapping, but took a beginning silversmithing class about a year ago. (I also took silversmithing in college, when I was working on a Fine Arts degree.) I feel like I have found myself! I love the torch and continue to develop new skills, mostly by voraciously following jewelers here, on Instagram and YouTube. I do work full-time as a nurse, but find that I think about jewelry, design, and what I want to do in the studio as soon as I get home much of the day.
