hi there; this is kind-a second presentation of myself, here on Orchid: caused by a rebirth, more or less. here my [simple] steps in becoming a somekindofmetal-smith: 1) read cellini's life, four years ago, 2) got some strange kind of viral fashination with jewelry-making, history, designing, 3) bought a lot of books - italian and english alike - read them, understood a bunch of caotic things, saw many possible directions, etc. 4) tried to buy some silver, some tools... stumbled in many troubles, here in italy, with the burocratic position of silver, and the cost of jewellery tools for the unjeweller; 5) finally, signed myself to the evening classes in a "jewellery" school in my towm [where "school" means, yes, that thing you go when your're 14 to 19 years old: and, yes, i'm already 31, got a degree in geography, have a job, etc. 6) this school gives you a 5-years, art jewel-oriented course. I got another viral thing, I can't think at anything else: I'm now trying to find some space where to try to work. Been reading Orchid since 2006, hope now to "get out" from lurking.; http://www.davidezambon.it
