Wow - time to update my bio. I just realized that the last one was just as I left Rio Grande in 2007! Since then, I have owned Hill Management Group, a business consulting firm with three brands serving the jewelry industry: StrategyWerx, SupportWerx, and MentorWerx. We provide business advisory, business building, marketing, and business education support through these three brands. I write, educate, and advocate for jewelry makers and designers. I also volunteer as MJSA's "Designer Advocate," and participate in MJSA's BEaJEWELER outreach program. My company is Chicago-based, but I must admit that I spend most of my time (when not traveling) working from my farm in (very) rural Wisconsin, close to all my extended family and very close to my grandchildren.
