I've been fabricating jewelry for about 5 years. Recently I've been doing a lot of granulation work in traditional Etruscan style and I also work with stones rounded by the ocean and beaches on the island where I live. I'm interested in learning the mokume gane process to incorporate into my work. I love the process and problem solving aspects of making a piece from "scratch" including specializing hand tools as I need them. I'm thirty and live with a Rottweiler 15 miles off the coast of Maine. I do a zillion odd jobs to keep my studio supplied and so far it's working. I'm interested in apprenticing with different artists around the country to continue adding to my metalsmithing skill set.
