As I looked around the room which housed a large installation piece I had created, (due soon to be dismembered and shipped to another gallery), I thought "This is a really stupid way to spend my time". The installation created a feeling, but I didn't want to have to chase it around. It was energy inefficient. I took a break, changed almost every detail about my life, and began to create small, wearable narratives in fused glass, metal, stone and other odd substances. Now I can wear my stories, or store them in tiny secret places, or ship them in a padded envelope instead of a numbered sequence of crates. A much more energy efficient life. Big stories. Tiny container. Huge learning curve. Focus. Passion.; http://
