Merylyn

I am a retired social worker, experienced in community organization and public administration, M.S.W from University of Houston, Texas and BA from UC Berkeley, California. I have had a life long interest in The Arts. In the '90s I studied metal smithing under Sandi Zilker and enameling under Mary Ann Papanik-Miller at the Glassell School of Art in Houston. Over the years I have taken jewelry workshops with Charles Lewtin-Brain, Jim Dailing, Susan Woods and enjoyed numerous jewelry workshops at the Mendocino Art Center in California. I am looking forward to one at MAC with David LaPantz in May. I am a founding board member of the Fresno Grand Opera and I am on the steering committe of a non profit art organization which develops venues in the mountain area near Yosemite National Park for local artists. I am devoting my "golden years" to volunteering in my community, nurturing my artistic interests, and honing my jewelry making skills. Since 1994 I have been making and selling one of a kind art jewelry at the co-op Timberline Art Gallery in Oakhurst, California. Over the past several months I have enjoyed reading the Ganoksin newsletters and the members postings. Sincerely, Merylyn S. Whited; www.timberlineartgallery.com Timberline Art Gallery
