My company is Urban Jule. Currently, I work in sterling and fine silver set with turquoise or variscite. I work out of a shop I have set up in my basement. My pieces are sold in small boutiques in Pennsylvania, about two hours from my shop. Up until about 6 months ago, I sold exclusively on Etsy specializing in wedding rings. I no longer have an account with that venue; instead I sell my work wholesale to brick and mortar stores or directly to a small client base I have built up over the years. My formal training was through jewelryclassdc, in Washington, DC. Prior to those classes, I was self-taught. I came to this path late in life, being in my mid-60s with grown children, a flock of grandchildren and even one great-grandchild. I still consider myself a novice as I find that there are new things for me to learn every day.
