I currently am a fine arts student, concentrating in metals and jewelry at Towson University in Towson, Maryland. I am in my last year of the program and am eager to apply my education, skills, techniques and aesthetic to the gallery, marketplace, and social world of being a metal artist. This semester I have been introduced to the world of production jewelry and will be creating a line of earrings myself. I am intimidated to some degree of this concept; however, I am thrilled to do so as well. I feel like there is so much to know about the world of jewelry and in order to establish my identity as a metal artist, I must continue to educate myself in the field and experience as much of it as possible. This is why I have chosen to join Orchid, and I and am more than eager to use this incredible resource!
