Since being put out to pasture, I have been busy learning new skills,techniques and how to live and breath while being away from a production bench, Ihave also been learning the esoteric prospects of CAD-CAM, and enjoy only working a few hours a day compared to my previous 10 to 16 hour days. I once again am able to enjoy lapidary work and really like playing with Dichroic glass, when these elements are combined with the power of CAD-CAM it can be exilerating. My new best friends are my trusty Taig CNC mill and Rhino 3D. I wish I'd began learning about these things 10 or 15 years ago but there is still much ground in these areas to explore, and being out to pasture allows me time to graze in the fields of thought and feast on the beauty of time.
