I run Vision numeric UK for these previous 5 years, where 3Design became the most demanded package on the market. JIIC B'ham & Holt@Sonar London are the 2 main schools for trade to teach 3Design. References are available. I guess that this success is really due to 1-the quality of interface (Becky would smile if I say Sexy), 2- the fact that it is parametric, solid & surface enable, 3-the amount of features available, and 4-the possible outputs (static & video rendering, stl or igs for production, etc...). Overall, the very short process time is what people like.
