My father sparked my interest in jewelry at the age of thirteen. He was a dentist and thought the best way to get me interested in Dentistry was to introduce me to lost wax casting. I loved the magic of casting and still find it magical after 39 years. Through high school I apprenticed with the Venice Lapidary Guild, cleaning and carving waxes for their production line. I lived in beautiful Monterey, designing jewelry while attending M.P.C. I opened my jewelry store (Kirk's Jewelry) in 1975, after I completed a special major at Chico State University, in Business and Art. My jewelry store has always focused on quality and innovations in designs; I am looking forward to continuing designing for another thirty years.
