Hello, I'm an English artist, living in south west France. I moved here about three years ago which gave me a long awaited opportunity to set up a 'proper' jewellery studio, which is now my pride and joy! My background is in textile design - I trained at Glasgow School of Art in Scotland, graduating in 1992. But I think I have found my metier now in metalwork. Texture is an important element in my work and I draw on the beautiful medieaval architecture around where I live for inspiration. I have recently discovered the Ganoksin/Orchid website which I think is a brilliant resource and I look forward very much to becoming a member.; judypickering.co.uk
