I've been a beadworker for a number of years and have been making jewellery in one form or another for about 16 years. I've recently started a course in Beginner's Jewellery at a local college, learning basic silversmithing, soldering, etc, which I'm really enjoying! A site like is a godsend - I have ME and sometimes find it difficult to attend the college course - but Orchid is a great supplement I am learning so much!
