Greetings and Salutations! I'm a recovering computer/finance geek (and amateur artist) who has finally, joyfully, and with huge relief figured out she should have been a goldsmith in the first place. To that end I'm starting intensive training this fall here in London and have been bashing away at my embryonic jeweler's bench to keep my twitchy fingers busy. It's going great so far (patting self on back) which is a good thing, because I suspect I don't even know how much I don't know, if you catch my drift. I'd like to thank the extremely talented Janet Alix in Marin County for turning me onto Ganoksin and Orchid 18 months ago. At that point, it had never occurred to me a person could make a career out of playing with metal and gems all day, so to say that I'm grateful to her and this whole community for pointing me toward my true vocation is a whopper of an understatement.
