I am a 54 year old retired academic (I taught college English and Humanities through the Arts). My main interests are designing jewelry, reading, and travelling. I have one son who works for the US Dept. of State is currently living in Portugal; previously, he was in India and Brazil, two countries that are great for jewelry and gemstones. I have also travelled throughout Europe and the Middle East (Egypt, Israel, Turkey). My husband is an attorney, and I live in a small town in Arkansas about 70 miles from Memphis, Tennessee. I have been working with jewelry off and on for years and am now able to devote full time to jewelry-making, running my website, and being part of the jewelry makers community.
