I am a lapidary and metalsmith, self-employed full time since 1974. I worked juried art fairs until 1992 or so. In 1984 I formed Iowa Artisans Gallery in Iowa City as a cooperative venture with 11 others. We still own our gallery with 5 original members. In 1990 we moved to a 1600 sq. ft space which I then shared as DJ Rinner Goldsmiths. In 2003 we moved to a 3200 sq. ft space, which we currently operate. I specialize in a wide selection of colored gemstones, and a good selection of gem beads as well. I am also an avid rock hound and collector.
