I am a retired clinical chemist and Laboratory Manager. I have some turquoise jewelry that has turned greenish. I want to dye my own jewelry back to its original color. This is not for sale, just my own. I think I can do this with the copper nitrate but my items are all set and I do not want to harm them. Will copper nitrate harm stainless or silver?; - DIANE HAYES
