Had been interested in jewelry making for many years. In 2005 I had an opportunity to take classes in Metal Clay (fine silver only at that time). Worked with and enjoyed that for several years, including the newer base metal clays that were introduced. I did come to feel there was so much more that could be done with milled metals and combining milled and clay metals. I have had the joy and pleasure of working with a friend who only took up jewelry making the past couple of years. He is a natural talent-they do exist-who has taught me a lot about working with milled, and even more, reclaimed metals. I was on Orchid a few years ago and left about three years ago when "life" got in the way. As I hope to continue my growth in working with metals and jewelry making, it feels like time to come "home" to Orchid.
