Greetings. My name is David L. Smith and I have been designing and fabricating Jewelry on a hobby basis since 1994. I was fortunate to have apprenticed with a Professional Jeweller for one year in 1996. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to that Jeweller, Mr. Bill Hennesey of Midland Texas, for providing me with a wide base of knowledge concerning design, repair and fabrication of Jewelry and the Jewelry Industry. Through a happy set of circumstances I find that I will soon be able to become a Professional Jeweller on a full time basis. I am registered to attend the Revere Academy in San Fransisco California for seven weeks beginning in January of 2005 where I will be taking the courses necessary to prepare for the Level One Bench Jeweller Certification Test. I will be taking that test at the Revere Academy upon completion of the required coursework. I am hopeful that I will return home to Omaha Nebraska with that certification in hand. I look forward to being part of this group and benefitting from the broad knowledge base represented by this site.
