I am a professional goldsmith. I began my career in metals at age 52, in 2000. Up until 2008, I took many master's level workshops from some of the best metal smiths teaching jewelry art, and built a collection of work, mostly in gold. I have shown my work in Juried Art Festivals and galleries since 2008. In 2009, I began working with iron and gold. I have developed techniques to work small-scale iron productively, and also fuse a variety of golds to textured iron. In early 2013, I began teaching the techniques in iron and fused gold in my FERROUS MUSINGS/FUSINGS workshops across the US, and will be teaching in Europe in 2015. Most recently, I was invited to write a paper, and present the paper "Iron Mused/Gold Fused…the New Iron Age" at the 28th Santa Fe Symposium.; urban-armour.com
