I am a goldsmith currently working for a national jewelry chain, plus taking commissions and repairs on the side in my free time. I have a fair amount of experience across the board, but have only been actually working in the industry for the past 2.5 years. My education in this field consists of a few years' study at a local JC and, more recently, the JTI program through Revere Academy, SF, CA. Most of my work experience has been typical bench work - sizing, setting and repairs - in gold and platinum dealing mostly with diamonds/rubies/sapphires, though I've dabbled in everything from lapidary work to enameling to mokume gane.; -
