I belong to a lapidary club in Stockton, CA. I was interested in rocks and minerals as a child. My family and I would travel to the Eastern part of Oregon near Boise Idaho to visit relavives. My grand father was interested in thunder eggs. He had some really great thunder eggs. We would go around the time the Nyssa Oregon had their thunder egg gem and mineral show. After I was in my twenties I learned that Stockton California had a gem and mineral show. I went to one show. After going off to collage I lost trac of the show. After finishing up Junior College, I had a degree in child development. I ended going back to school after 20 plus years of taking care of other families children. I now have a BA degree in graphic arts. I am now looking for a job in the graphic arts area. I also have a craft background. I craft jewelry, srapbook, and anything to do with paper, gems, rocks, and minerals. After finishing my BA degree I met a wonderful man who introduced me to the lapidary club in Stockton, California and I have been hooked ever since. I now do lost wax casting, beading and silver smithing as well as anything to do with paper, rocks, gems and minerals.
