Yellow spots on Pewter

I put a clear resin over solid pewter-- and put it in the oven to
cure. The pewter developed yellow spots. Is this normal for pewter
exposed to heat? Are there other metals that won’t do this?

Many thanks!

Makes me think that the resin you used had metallic impurities like
aluminum in it or phosphorous causing the spots but hey I hope
someone knows for sure best know what resin you are using before you
heat it for proper ventilation and safety!
