[YAK] Who's the biggest jeweler

Hello All: This is probably the silliest post I’ve ever made to
Orchid but I was wondering if I might be the biggest jeweler. I am 6
foot 4 inches tall and weigh 240 lbs. As a rule jewelers are not
large people and I was wondering how big are you? Michael R. Mathews
Sr.

6 foot 3 inches tall and 270 lbs. (my wife decided we need a
"together" activity so she is signing us up for Weight Watchers…
groan)

P.S. I found a ring sizer on ebay for ring sizes 16-23. Now I’m
able to fully service my “full fingered” clientele…

Okay – I wanna know who started this thing with who’s the biggest
– what about all of us on the other end of things??? My driver’s
license says I’m 5’ 2" and I’m sticking to that story no matter what
my 14 year old says

Laura.

I think a fun and fascinating activity would be to uncover our birth
orders (ala Dr. Kevin Leman - I’ll bet there are a lot of first
borns/onlies here - or folks whose next oldest sibling is more than
3-5 years older) OR How about finding a Myers-Briggs Personality
Instrument(online) and charting jewelers personality types?

Carl 1 Lucky Texan (first born - usually INTP but sometimes test
differently/borderline-perhaps due to compensation as I’ve grown
older)

Hi Carl, Okay… I didn’t posting to the height / weight
thing…I’ll just keep those measurements to myself, and let people
guess. <grin But had a laugh with an orchid friend over the out come
of one of those tests you mentioned, so I’ll post it for fun!
According to two of those 4 question Myers-Briggs type Personality
tests, I am an ENFP? Hahahah! The profile seemed to peg me pretty
well! Including some of my more difficult qualities!

I’m an “Only Child” and came late to my parents in their 40’s, with
essentially two generations between us. I’ve pretty much always been
creative, drawing, painting, working with clay, making things,
etc…since I was very young. Was ill much of my childhood, and art
was my escape. I lived in my head in my own creative world much of
the time. Always knew I’d pursue art as my livelihood. Took jewelry
classes in high school, and knew immediately that Jewelry was “It.”
Been making it ever sense. I’ve worked as a designer / goldsmith for
two Fine Jewelry Salons in the past, and now create my own work.

It’ll be really interesting to read other posts to this question. I
wonder how many will have similar profiles. Fun Idea Carl! Cheers!
