I have a suspicion that the posting by Mr. John Burgess’s son,
explaining the interactions and compatibilities of various
mailers, my have contributed to the beginnings of somthing of a
misunderstanding.
The posting itself contained a beautiful collection of
comentaries on the workings of mailers on various platforms - he
also mentioned that it would be a pity to remove John from the
list. 
It might be best if I clarified that there was no intention what
so ever of removing John or anyone else from the list only due
to software difficulties.
As for myself, and I’m quite sure, for everyone, John’s
contributions to list are much appreciated. My understanding is
that John was quite concerned that his postings may be creating
some difficulties for some of the other members.
In John’s case, or for anyone else for that matter, if it would be
possible to have your postings directed to me - and then allow
me to forward your postings to the list, I would be more than
happy to do so.
