[Yak] How pronounce Ganoksin?

Hi all -

I moved a lot as a child and every school I went to had just
finished or was going to start phonics the next semester by
which time I had moved again! Woe is me, I mispronounce everything
unless its a learned sound already. I’ve been meaning to ask this
question since I joined the list. How do you pronounce Ganoksin?

1.	gan - ok - sin
2.	ga - nok - sin
3.	gan - o - sin
4.	ga - no - sin

And of these, what syllable is the accent applied on? Or is
there another division of syllables here that I’ve missed?

I’m also somewhat dyslexic so for the first month I called this
Gan’ - o - skin.

Thanks in advance for giving me a lesson.

Nancy

Hi Nancy

Ganoksin should be pronounced ganok[!]-sin[?].

o Ganok[!] in the Thai language refers to a specific type of
traditional motifs in drawings and gold,

o sin[?] - means Art in the spiritual form,

Ganoksin just sounds great in Thai

Thanks for asking,

Hanuman

I had the same question, but I cheated! I asked the cute little
waitress at a local Thai restaurant!
