Seems to me that interpreting emotions expressed in writing is
much tougher than decoding the intent from spoken words.
Inflection, empathy and anger are often hard to distinguish. A
picture may be worth a thousand words but only a hundred if they
are verbal.
So ease up on the outrage at someone’s question or another’s
response. Re- read what you have written and check to see that
the recipient will get the message you intended. Very few of the
persons on the list are intentionally rude. It is the best
teaching / learning environment I have experienced.
