I will be spending the summer on cape cod and was wondering if anyone
knows of any classes or workshops there in metalsmithing or
photography.

I will be teaching photoetching in July. Otherwise, come on up to
our place at Metalwerx. It’s not quite the Cape, but we will be
offering a lot of workshops this summer.

There’s a place in Truro, or maybe it’s Wellfleet (both out near
Provincetown) that offers classes in some media (probably
photography, but I’m not so sure about metals). I can’t seem to
locate my last flyer from them, but I think the place is called Castle
Hill Arts Center, or some such. Good luck. I’ve never known anyone
who’s taken anything there, so can’t speak to reputation.

Nothing I can think of off hand on Cape Cod for jewelry.

Check with the local Chamber of Commerce. The Interlaken School in
Lenox, MA offers workshops, I believe that a couple of Orchid members
have taught there. Mass College of Art might have something, there is
a campus in Dartmouth or New Bedford as well as one in Boston.
Worcester Crafts Center is another likely venue, as is possibly the
Museum of Fine Arts school. Metalworx of course, should have classes
during the summer.
