In a couple of months I’ll be heading for Tucson again, to feast my
eyes (and spend my money) on beautiful gems and visit with fellow
Orchidians at the annual dinner.
I’ll be conducting workshops again, too, and in fact I’ll be going
all the way out to California and up to British Columbia before
turning around and heading back to Florida, with workshops all along
the way. Anyone who is interested in learning my method of tying
knots in wire is welcome to check the schedule on my website. I
decided to start early, this time, to give everyone a lot of warning
and to decrease the stress level at my end.
The workshop schedule is on my “Workshops/Events” page, and there’s
also a dedicated page with a form on it for people to select a
specific workshop and add their name to the list. That one is heRe:
I’ll be doing a lot of workshops through the year, and will add them
to that list as the plans firm up.
The Painted Head photos are beyond great. They just show you to be
the great guy you are.
Folks, if you want to see for yourself just go to Loren’s web site
Go to “Galleries shows publications” scan down to the one referring
to Labor Day and use the link there to the photos. That link will
take you to a list, scan down to the 6 Painted Head pics and enjoy yourselves.
Hi, Loren, I just recently completed a shoot for a new jewelry
making show on the DIY channel that’s to begin airing in March and
was wondering if you might want some info…not sure it’s the
same show but seems likely. Having never done a tv spot before, I
was waaay too nervous beforehand. Ended up being a glorious experience.
Hello Loren: I am Secretary of a Guild in Richmond, B. C., close to
Vancouver and Burnaby. When and Where will you be demonstrating in
Burnaby/ Would it be possible to set up a workshop for our group??

The workshop in Burnaby is being hosted by an individual, and I’m
not sure where yet. She said she had two places in mind, one of them
a little closer to the US border than Burnaby.
I’m not sure what to tell you – the thing is, I’m supposed to get
back to LA and do the DIY thing and a couple of workshops at the end
of the week. It depends on how long it should take me to make that
drive, preferably slowly enough to get some sightseeing in along the
way. I’ve got workshops scheduled on Friday, Saturday, and then the
one in Burnaby is on Sunday. I figured on taking off Monday morning
to drive south.
If I can make it from Vancouver to LA without killing myself by
starting on Tuesday, then I could maybe do a workshop on Monday.
Weather might be a factor, too, at that time of year.
