[Workshop] [UK] Textile Techniques in Metal: Masterclass

Use this fantastic limited opportunity to learn a variety of
techniques for interlacing structures using thin sheet metals and
small gauge wires, from international expert and author Arline
Fisch. During this course you will make small samples of a number of
processes, each sample will be a complete unit with edges and
surfaces finished in a manner appropriate to the specific sample.
Materials used will include copper, brass, aluminium and fine
silver. You will be required to make your own local purchase if you
wish to work in fine silver. No prior fibre or metalworking
experience is required. Course places are limited.

Arline M. Fisch is Professor of Art Emerita, San Diego State
University, she is an Artist/Jeweller working primarily in precious
metals, exhibiting work nationally and internationally and is the
author of Textile Techniques in Metal, published in 1975, 1996 and
200,. Arline frequently conducts intensive short-term workshops in
the United States and abroad. She has lectured and exhibited widely
in North America, Europe, and the Far East and her work is
represented in numerous museum and private collections.
