“The possibilities are endless when it comes to creating imagery in
metal.” In this workshop, we will learn the basics of etching using
the toner transfer method with a photo copier. Focusing on image
development we will use photos, patterns, textures, doodles, words,
and other curiosities. We will roll print the etched images, and apply
various patinas. Students will develop artwork and various resists
for the table and spray etch methods, making etched samples with the
variations presented and will learn to make copper/silver bimetal for
etching

through copper-based alloys to achieve a layered and transparent
quality.
