I am starting to teach a PR workshop for designers. I was able to
apply 10 years of advertising experience in order to get the word out
about my collection. Finally I am getting some mainstream press
which will boost my sales. I am going to be teaching the workshop
out of my store. Each workshop will be small 4-6 people max. The
workshop will be about 3 hrs long. Below is about the

Public Relations 101
Less than 2% of all designers who brave editors and open calls get
the nod. This workshop offers tips from a fellow designer on how to
beat the odds and generate press interest
Workshop includes: How to determine your market What editors look for
in your bio How to pitch your line to a magazine or department store
Why a web presence is essential
Each student will leave with a “kit” of tips & instructions
including: how to write a press release, tips for cold calling, how
to choose a logo and a list of organizations that can help you get
your name out there.
