NEW! Professional Stone Setting Intensive Workshop Series Ages 16 &
Up Learn to set faceted round and shaped stones like a pro from a
pro! The ability to beautifully and securely set gemstones can
elevate your work to a new level of fine craftsmanship. Professional
gemstone setters are in very high demand and one can make a fine
living serving the trade, as well.
Learn how to prepare gravers and customize pliers for faceted stone
setting. Begin with setting a round faceted stone in a 4-prong crown,
followed by prong-setting fancy shapes such as pear, princess cut,
and emerald cut. Then move on to bezel setting in round stones only.
This intensive workshop series is scheduled over the course of three
weekends to allow those with 9-5 schedules to participate and for all
to immerse themselves in learning. Prerequisite: Metalsmithing I or
equivalent; Metalsmithing II recommended. Price includes a $110
studio and materials fee (includes all practice stones and crowns, as
well as basic tools for the student to keep) which is non-refundable
