October Artfest
Most people think that October a month affectionately known
world-wide as Oktoberfest, is a month to enjoy the Bavarian
lifestyle. I too enjoy the brew festivals that are a common place in
our parks and street fairs, the warm October sunshine on my back and
a pleasant cool breeze in the air.
This October I invite you to live in the Bohemian lifestyle, ( A
person with artistic or literary interests who disregards
conventional standards of behavior) Spend the entire month learning
new artistic skills. Go wild the first week with Cloisonne/Enameling.
4 days of hands on instruction with a very talented artist Linda
Crawford. The second week we have Design and Rendering a program
designed to bring out the artist in each and every one of us. Your
third week with us is a spiritually inspiring art that has been
around for thousands of years, Filigree and Granulation with our
newest artist Yehuda Tassa. Spend 4 days learning this lost art and
enjoy a special presentation about the Yemenite art, culture, and
history. Your last week can be spent in our classroom, your total use
of the facilities will be included in this month long package.
For those of you not brave enough to go the Bohemian way, each
workshop can be taken separately. For those Bavarian types that join
us, we will be sure to give you on any brew fests that
are in the area.
