Upcoming jewelry workshops:

Exploring enamels: surface enrichment with torch fired enamels
Instructor: Deborah Lozier
March 17 - 18
Tuition: $170

Enamel fused onto copper turns this humble material into an amazing
range of color and texture. Fusing the enamel with a torch creates a
spontaneous and direct approach to the process. Color and design will
be the emphasis of the class. Enamel application, firing, texturing
and creating pattern both on the metal and with the enamel will be
the technical focus.

Cast Away - Waxwork and Casting
Instructor: Mike Edwards
March 23 - 25
Tuition: $230 (Materials Fee: $75 plus metal cost)

Move beyond the use of sheet metal and wire in your jewelry work.
Participants will be introduced to wax carving and wax fabrication.
We’ll cover layout for carving and the lost wax process. The third
day we’ll cast one or more pieces in sterling silver. All skill
levels welcome.

Celtic Knot Bangle Bracelets
Instructor: Sarah Shriver
April 21 - 22
Tuition: $170

Using polymer clay, build an image of a “Celtic” knot designed to
interlock and repeat into a wonderful array of patterns. We’ll
explore the possibilities of infinite pattern variation by
manipulating this one cane into a series of canes. We’ll then compose
some of the patterned canes to make a fitted bangle bracelet with an
elastic closure. And lastly, we’ll use finishing techniques that
enhance the elegance of the finished piece.
