[Workshop] Found Object Jewelry

Sarah Doremus will be teaching a found object jewelry class at
Metalwerx in Waltham MA on April 25 and 26. Learn to create jewelry
with materials found either at home, at work, from nature,
collectibles from the past, or even scrap materials that are going
to be discarded. Let your imagination run wild–anything goes! Old
toys, plastic, twigs, broken china, rusty steel washers, pencils,
coins… The materials at your fingertips are endless! During this
workshop, students will make several pieces using found objects as
the focal point. Learn basic metalworking techniques including
soldering, cold connections, hydraulic forming, resin inlay as well
as alternative connections to incorporate non-metal components in
one-of-a-kind jewelry.
