[Workshop] Fold forming workshop in Calgary

Hi all,

I’m teaching a class in fold-forming in Calgary this July. There is
good housing available, and the Stampede is the following week…

Fold Forming
Prerequisite None
Spring Monday to Thursday, June 26 to June 29
Time 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Fee $465 + GST (28 hours)
Instructor Charles Lewton-Brain
Course Code EXJW 009X1

Charles Lewton-Brain invented fold forming, now internationally
recognized as a completely new way to work metal. Fold forming is an
innovative, quick, easily learned way of shaping sheet metal with hand
tools. Forms are derived from the natural plasticity and ductility of
the metal. Shaping is extremely efficient and rapid (many take 3 to 7
minutes working time). Tools are simple: fingers, hammers, anvil and
mill. Complex relief forms are made from sheets of metal often on one
annealing. They resemble chased constructed and soldered forms and
can be made with most metals, including steel.
