Hi Happy Metalsmiths,
The North East Chapter of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths is
having their annual winter workshop at Atlantic Center for the Arts
in New Smyrna Beach (near Daytona, Florida). The dates are Monday,
January 7, 2002, (starting at dinner) through Friday Jan 11, 2002
(leave after breakfast). The 5 day workshop including 17 meals on
campus is $445.00.
There are wonderful metalsmith classes being given along with one
seed bead workshop. John Cogswell will be teaching Hinged boxes and
locking clasps (metal) ; Elliott Pujol, Crimp Forming/ Three
Dimensional Objects (metal) ; Mary Ann Scherr, Surface Design and
Techniques (metal) ; Susan Wood-Onstad Handmade Mechanisms and
Findings (metal); Carol Wilcox Well, Dimensional Chevron Chain (open
bead weaving stitch with seed beads). There are still a few
openings.
