Working with steel

I missed the original post/question but here’s a few cents on
working (sounds like the topic should be sawing) with steel. Any
metal that’s not harder than your sawblades can be sawn, that much
is logically true. Mild steel isn’t a problem, and though the 0-1
tool steel i use all the time is harder than mils steel, it saws
fine as long as I’m patient, which I’m not, especially. 'Accepting
of my chosen fate ’ is more like it, and there have been a few times
I asked myself what the heck I was thinking (?), that led me to this
career path. It’s a good gig though, and one important piece of the
puzzle is sawing lots of steel, and one thing that’s made that
better the last few years is using Pike Platinum blades. I’ve tried
everything else I could get my hands on, and have concluded that
there’s no good reason to use anything else very often. They cut
steel (and other hard metals, logically) the best.
