Use one long piece of wire that is soldered to both earring castings. This makes it easier to polish as there is more to hang on to. Do the twisting and, once hardened enough, cut the long wire leaving enough for both earrings. As an alternative, if you have a kiln, you can heat harden them. Good luck…Rob

I forgot to mention, if you tumble polish, leave the two earrings connected until you are done tumbling. They are easier to find and don’t bang into each other.
